With the Coronavirus pandemic being the center of attention in our world right now, we see all the precautions that are being taken to help prevent the spread of the virus. With this virus, it is true that many of us will be able to fight it off, but older generations or immunocompromised generations are at serious risk if they get the virus. We need to be as cautious as possible as to not spread it around.
That being said, even the Grey’s Anatomy crew is taking precautions. They have announced that they are halting production. Debbie Allen and James Williams stated in a letter:
“To Our Incredible Cast and Crew:
Out of an abundance of caution, production is postponed on Grey’s Anatomy effective immediately. We are going home now for at least two weeks and waiting to see how the coronavirus situation evolves.
This decision was made to ensure the health and safety of the whole cast and crew and the safety of our loved ones outside of work, and it was made in accordance with Mayor Garcetti’s suggestion that we not gather in groups of more than 50.
Stay safe, stay healthy, stay hydrated, stay home as much as possible, and wash your hands frequently. Please take care of yourselves and each other. As updates come in, we will keep you informed.
Thank you for all that you do!
Krista, Debbie, & James”
For up to date information visit the CDC’s website. If you have the option to work from home, do so. If not, just be safe. Wash your hands, sanitizer your working environment. Steer clear of touching your face. You may not be worried, but there are people around you that may not be able to fight the virus off. These precautions are here to stop the spreading of the virus to them.
Be sure to stay educated! In the meantime, if you do get to work at home be sure to have Grey’s Anatomy in the background! If you do feel sick, stay home and start over from season 1!
Stay safe Grey’s family!
